Moving soil

Soil & Deposit Bylaws- there will be several exemptions within these bylaw ones anything less than, less than 350 sq meters would not be required to register with the CSRD.  The intent is to deal with large amounts of material being moved off of a property.  Conaminated soil; cannot presently be moved at all need a permit from MoE; although this could be a trigger to make MoE aware of the problem.
The bylaw will start with education to the public and the APC regarding the bylaw.  The example of what is allowed would be; a land owner to bring 20 cubic meter of soil (2 dump trucks loads) or more and would not require a permit. If they required over 30 dump truck load they may require paying a$ 650 fee. The Hope slide 47 million cubic meters (it would have required a bylaw). Existing legal pits do not have to apply for these permits. The proposed bylaw will be taken to the APC and for a public hearing. New applicant track soft ware coming in and it will be a lot easier to track the processing these applications.
